School Advisory Council Meeting

Monday, November 17 at 3:45 PM

Location: PAS Library

School Advisory Council (SAC) meets once a month and is a forum for discussion and collaboration with the PAS administration on school-based decision making with a focus on student achievement, school improvement, effective teaching, and parent and community engagement, communication, and support. Meetings are typically held on the third Monday of the month and are open to everyone in the school community. Shop for your child(ren), purchase a classroom book, and/or sign up to work a shift at the Scholastic Book Fair! Approximately 25% of online sales and 50% of in person sales will be donated back to Penn Alexander.

Volunteers are needed November 18-26. All volunteers can pick a book for FREE (up to $10 value)!

Pre-order today on mylifetouch.com. Create an account or log in with your Picture Day ID: EVTJ3ZJ2V. Order before midnight on Picture Day to get FREE shipping! Your child can also bring their completed flyer with cash or check on Picture Day. Please note orders after Picture Day must be placed online only.

Volunteers Needed: 10:30 AM-12:00 PM & 12:00-1:30 PM. Volunteers will receive a voucher for a FREE basic package from Lifetouch Pictures. (See Dr. Kreidle first before ordering.) Help students line up, comb hair, straighten collars, and provide general assistance to ensure Picture Day goes smoothly.

Winter Concert

Doors open at 6:00 PM

Location: Gym, enter from the Blacktop

Penn Alexander's much-loved annual winter concert will feature string, wind, and vocal students performing a range of repertoire. Volunteers are needed to help hand out programs, hold doors, sell and take tickets, usher, etc. All volunteers receive 2 free tickets!

Tickets are $ for adults and free for children/students, but tickets are required for all. The deadline for advance purchase is Friday, December 12, and then tickets will be $10 at the door, if available. All students must be accompanied by an adult.
