Does PAS got talent? Come to the Talent Show and find out. This event is sure to be a crowd-pleaser.

$10 for audience members age 4+ (tickets are not necessary for Talent Show participants.)

Day of event walk ins are welcome if space is available for $15 per person.

Early bird ticket pricing deadline: Thursday, February 13.

Location: Cafeteria

 

Attend a parent meeting and viewing of Screenagers: Elementary School Age Edition, the latest film to be released from the Screenagers team. This new film updates the original movie with the latest research, expert insights, and advice. It is specifically tailored for the students, parents, and educators of elementary schools to help them better navigate this digital age.

 

Dinner and childcare provided. Children will have the opportunity to view the shorter, classroom version of the film during the childcare session.

 

Also happening on February 21 is the Middle School Lock In.

Middle School Lock In

Middle School Lock In

 

Friday, February 21, 6-8 PM

Location: Gym, enter from Blacktop

 

Middle Schoolers will be "locked in" at school for a fun night of silent dancing with a DJ and other fun activities. They will enjoy pizza, candy, snacks, and soda with their classmates!

Tickets are 'pay what you wish' up to $15; only PAS students in grades 6-8 are invited, and students must attend school on the day of the event. Advance sales only. Payment and permission slip due by Friday, February 14. Students are NOT permitted to walk home alone.

Parent volunteers are needed to help with set up, clean up, and to donate supplies such as snacks, treats, and beverages. Donations can be dropped off at the main office no later than February 18.

School Advisory Council Meeting

School Advisory Council (SAC) meets once a month and is a forum for discussion and collaboration with the PAS administration on school-based decision making with a focus on student achievement, school improvement, effective teaching, and parent and community engagement, communication, and support.  Meetings are held on the third Monday of the month from 3:45-4:45pm and are open to everyone in the school community.  To learn more about Penn Alexander’s SAC and review a list of SAC members, please visit the SAC website.

Learn Something New at the Math Festival!

Thursday, March 20: 5:00-7:00 PM

5:00-5:30 PM: Optional FREE dinner in the lunchroom (to-go boxes provided for fasting families)

5:30-7:00 PM: Visit fun math stations in the gym

 

Spend an evening doing puzzles and games, and learn some math too! Learn through play together with your children and see first-hand how to support them in their math studies. Volunteers are needed to help bake pies, with set up and clean up, and to help run the games. Come home with some fun freebies.
