Auditions for the annual Talent Show will be held on Wednesday, February 11 during the school day in the Atrium. Plan your act today - remember to keep it under 2 minutes! Come prepared with your song and/or materials. Due to time constraints all acts may not be included in the show. For group acts, each member should complete a form. New feature for the 2026 Talent Show: we will have a virtual component this year for students who are not accepted into the Talent Show. A staff member will video the act or the student can upload the file.
Deadline to apply: Wednesday, February 4.

Location: PAS Lunchroom (enter from Blacktop)
Join us for a homemade, all-you-can-eat family breakfast. Come and marvel at the talented teachers in tall hats, scampering student servers, and our executive chef, Dr. Overton! Volunteer shifts are available before, during, and after the event. All volunteers receive 2 free tickets! You can also help by donating much-needed supplies by Friday, January 16.

Come join us for dinner and community with special guest Dr. Tawanna Jones. Dinner and childcare will be provided. This workshop is made possible through HSA funding, thanks to parent donations. Topic: Understanding Child & Teen Development
This discussion series, coordinated by Mr. Manny Harris, Ms. Matti Freiberg, and Ms. Beth Clauss, was developed to support schools and community partners that wish to engage parents and caregivers in conversations about the social and emotional growth of their families.
Space is limited to 30 participants. Dinner and childcare will be provided, paid for by HSA funds.

School Advisory Council Meeting and Coffee with the Principal

School Advisory Council (SAC) meets once a month and is a forum for discussion and collaboration with the PAS administration on school-based decision making with a focus on student achievement, school improvement, effective teaching, and parent and community engagement, communication, and support. Meetings are typically held on the third Monday of the month and are open to everyone in the school community. To learn more about Penn Alexander’s SAC and review a list of SAC members, please visit the SAC website. This February meeting will focus on technology in school.

Middle School Lock In

Middle School Lock In
Friday, February 27, 5:30-7:30 PM
Location: Gym, enter from Blacktop
Middle Schoolers will be "locked in" at school for a fun night of silent dancing with a DJ and other fun activities. They will enjoy pizza, candy, snacks, and soda with their classmates!
Tickets are $15; only PAS students in grades 6-8 are invited, and students must attend school on the day of the event. Advance sales only. Payment and permission slip due by Monday, February 23. Students are NOT permitted to walk home alone.
Parent volunteers are needed to help with set up, clean up, and to donate supplies such as snacks, treats, and beverages.

The Penn Alexander School stage will transform into a faraway kingdom this May as we bring the hilarious and heartwarming world of Shrek The Musical JR. to life. Penn Alexander is committed to keeping the art of musical theatre alive by producing quality shows. Only a portion of our costs to produce the show is supported by ticket sales. There are a few ways you can support our production:
