You are the glue that holds all of the events and activities together, and we couldn't do it without you!

Many opportunities require volunteers to have their clearances.

HSA JOBS

Sign Up Form

HSA Jobs require a bit more commitment than being on a Working Group as they involve managing a bigger task or performing a certain task on a regular basis. Most jobs can be split up between two or more people.

5K Sponsorship Manager: This role is active from January to May and entails contacting businesses to renew their 5K T-shirt sponsorships and soliciting new businesses for either sponsorship or prize donations.

Time commitment: approx. 20 hours over 4 months

Bookkeeper: This role assists the Treasurer in inputting donations and purchases into the correct categories in Membership Toolkit.

Time commitment: approx. 2 - 4 hours / week

Cashier: This role assists the Treasurer in collecting, counting, and depositing cash.

Time commitment: approx. 2 - 4 hours / week

Communications Manager: This role assists the Secretary and President in planning a weekly HSA messaging calendar and creating the weekly HSA message.

Time commitment: approx. 2 hours / week

Giving Tuesday Fundraising Chair: This role is active during October and November in planning the fundraising strategy and messaging surrounding Giving Tuesday, our biggest fundraising appeal of the year.

Time commitment: approx. 15 hours over 2 months

Graphic Design: We can always use more help creating flyers through our Canva account.

Time commitment: approx. 3 - 5 hours / flyer

Musical Playbill Sponsorship Manager: This role is active from January to March and entails contacting businesses to renew their musical playbill ad sponsorships and soliciting new businesses to place ads.

Time commitment: approx. 15 hours over 3 months

Room Parent: Each classroom teacher has 1 - 2 room parents who send periodic messages from the Room Parent Coordinator to the parent / guardian class list, assist the teacher with projects as needed, and plan occasional class playdates and meetups.

Time commitment: approx. 1 - 2 hours / month

School Gear Manager: T-shirts and school branded merchandise get ordered a few times a year. The manager also fulfills weekly orders.

Time commitment: approx. 4 hours / order + 1 hour / week

School Store Manager: Setting up a school store is a new idea which will require a committed volunteer and helpers to initiate and launch. Items such as snacks, school supplies, school branded merchandise and gear could be sold at sporting and after-school events and/or after school weekly or monthly. The manager would order the items to be sold and set up and manage a volunteer schedule.

Time commitment: hard to tell at this point

Social Media Moderator: We will need a new group of parents to help moderate the HSA Facebook and Twitter pages since all of the parents who were involved with social media had graduating students in 2023! One task involves scheduling occasional posts throughout the week, based on the weekly e-Pony.

Time commitment: approx. 1 - 2 hours / week

Translator: While the School District has employees who travel to schools to do translating work, the process can take a long time. We could use translators who are able to translate various flyers and communications on a much shorter timeline.

Time commitment: 1 - 2 hours / page

Website (Back-End): This role would work on the HSA website: creating and editing pages and volunteer forms. One task involves doing a weekly refresh, based on the weekly e-Pony.

Time commitment: approx. 1 - 2 hours / week
