HSA Parent Meeting

Location: Lunchroom, enter from the Blacktop

Attend a parent meeting and viewing of SCREENAGERS, an award-winning film that probes into the vulnerable corners of family life and depicts messy struggles over social media, video games, and academics. The film offers solutions on how we can help our kids navigate the digital world. The film viewing (run time 67 minutes) will be preceded by a short HSA meeting.

 

Pizza and childcare provided. Childcare options will include watching the classroom version of Screenagers (46 minutes) in the gym with Ms. Barnes, playing outside with Kat Bezhani of Kat Academy, or quiet time in the library.

Support STEAM education at Penn Alexander School by running, volunteering your time, or becoming a sponsor for the culminating event of the year.

 

  • If you are interested in helping to lead a running club in the spring, please contact Mr. Hunn or Ms. Schaffer.

The delicious adventures of Willy Wonka's chocolate factory will light up the Penn Alexander School stage in this captivating adaptation of Roald Dahl's fantastical tale.

School Advisory Council Meeting

 

Monday, April 15 at 3:45 P.M.

Location: PAS Library; use Locust St. entrance after 3:45 P.M.

 
School Advisory Council (SAC) meets once a month and is a forum for discussion and collaboration with the PAS administration on school-based decision making with a focus on student achievement, school improvement, effective teaching, and parent and community engagement, communication, and support. Meetings are open to everyone. To learn more about Penn Alexander’s SAC and review a list of SAC members, please visit our SAC website.
 
April's meeting will focus on a family engagement topic: building family connections through play days, new family meetings, neighbor meet and greets, etc.

Reality Fair

Middle Grades Financial Reality Fair

 

Tuesday, June 4 from 9:15 AM - 12:30 PM

Location: PAS Gym (use the main entrance and check in at the office)

 

This fair is a hands-on financial education event for middle school students to learn about careers, salaries, budgets, and savings for independent living. 

 

Many parent volunteers are needed to monitor a station for each component of the fair e.g. housing, transportation, insurance, food, clothing, entertainment, and utilities while students complete their budget worksheet. No experience necessary!
