Shop for your child(ren), purchase a classroom book, and/or sign up to work a shift at the Scholastic Book Fair! Approximately 25% of online sales and 50% of in person sales will be donated back to Penn Alexander. Volunteers needed March 22 - April 5. All volunteers can pick a book for FREE (up to $5 value)!

 

NEW: Teachers will each have an eWallet for their classroom. Families can add funds to help stock their classroom libraries with new books!

School Advisory Council Meeting

 

Monday, April 15 at 3:45 P.M.

Location: PAS Library; use Locust St. entrance after 3:45 P.M.

 
School Advisory Council (SAC) meets once a month and is a forum for discussion and collaboration with the PAS administration on school-based decision making with a focus on student achievement, school improvement, effective teaching, and parent and community engagement, communication, and support. Meetings are open to everyone. To learn more about Penn Alexander’s SAC and review a list of SAC members, please visit our SAC website.
 
April's meeting will focus on a family engagement topic: building family connections through play days, new family meetings, neighbor meet and greets, etc.

The cast is busy rehearsing for the musical; meanwhile, there are many ways to support music education at Penn Alexander School!

  • Purchase a (PAS uniform-compliant) t-shirt HERE for you or your child ($20). Deadline: Friday, March 22.
  • Purchase a costume or prop from the Amazon Wishlist HERE ($3.99+). Send items to Ms. Larese in Room 202 or via the main office.
  • Become a sponsor for our show HERE and buy ad space in our Playbill. You can promote your business and/or show the cast, choir, and crew how proud you are by purchasing a personalized congratulatory ad for our Playbill ($100+). Deadline: Friday, March 22.

Tickets, volunteer opportunities, and cast shout-outs will be available after Spring Break.

1 Mile Fun Run: 9:30 A.M.

 

Support STEAM education at Penn Alexander School by running, volunteering your time, or becoming a sponsor for the culminating event of the year. Get a healthy start to your summer, and register now!

  • Early bird pricing through April 13: Adults: $30; students: $20. All classes with at least 50% participation will receive a doughnut party!
  • All day-of race volunteers receive a FREE t-shirt (PAS uniform-compliant). NEW THIS YEAR: as an added incentive, 'on-course' 5K volunteers will receive a FREE snack bag when they check in to keep them nourished while cheering on runners!
  • Sponsorships start at $250: If you can recommend any businesses (your employer, stylist, dentist, contractor, apartment manager, etc.), please let us know by submitting the sponsorship form HERE!
  • If you are interested in helping to lead a running club in the spring, please contact Mr. Hunn, Mrs. Kearney or AP Talbert.
