Career Day

Tuesday, June 3

Come to PAS and Share About your Job!

LOWER SCHOOL (K-5)

Please fill out the form below by May 23 to sign up to present to your child's classroom on Career Day from 8:30-9:00 AM. The goal is for each class to have three caregivers come in during Morning Meeting to discuss your important role in the community.

Below are suggestions for your presentation. We have found that the presentations that seem to be best received are those that provide a balance of information and interactivity. In preparing your presentation, you may want to focus on the following presenter prep questions:

  • How did you pick your career?
  • What do you love about your career? What would you change?
  • How much education is needed?
  • What can interested students do right now to prepare for this career?
  • What were some unusual or humorous aspects of your job?
  • What does your "typical" day entail?

In addition, successful presenters in the past considered the following:

  • Presenting case studies/role-playing scenarios with students
  • Wearing work uniform/clothes
  • Bringing in work artifacts/tools

For additional information, contact Dr. Kreidle at 215-400-7760.
