Room Parents Needed
Be a Teacher-Parent Liaison
Time Commitment: approx. 1-2 hours per month
Each classroom teacher has 1-2 room parents. They help foster classroom community with tasks such as:
- pass along announcements from the HSA reminding / informing parents about upcoming events, meetings, and happenings
- help out during teacher appreciation week in May
- remind parents to donate to holiday and end of year teacher and staff gifts
- work with teachers to assist with projects as needed
- spearhead monthly staff breakfasts; each grade will sponsor one breakfast during the school year
- organize class or grade-specific playdates / get-togethers such as a picnic at a playground, meet-up at a museum, or clean up day at the PAS grounds
