Be a Liaison Between Room Parents and the HSA

Time Commitment: approx. 1-3 hours per month

The Room Parent Coordinator is a critical job for the HSA. The coordinator lines up interested parents at the beginning of the school year to make sure each teacher has at least one room parent assigned to their classroom.

During the school year, the coordinator crafts and sends messages to all the room parents highlighting certain events and appeals which the room parents then forward on to their classroom lists. This process is a very important part of the school communication strategy, ensuring that parents know what's going on at PAS.

Each classroom teacher has 1-2 room parents. They help foster classroom community with tasks such as passing along announcements, organizing playdates / get-togethers, helping out during teacher appreciation week, and more! Room parents also work with teachers to assist with projects as needed.
