Introducing Community Boards

You will now find links in your HSA website dashboard to access Community Boards for each of your PAS students' classrooms.

This is where Room Parents will post updates throughout the year. Those posts will automatically be emailed to you.

Additionally, each parent or guardian of a student in the class with also have the ability to post and comment. Need a picture of a homework assignment your student forgot at school? Need ideas for before school or afterschool care?

Community Boards are a great place to ask questions like these and connect with your child's classroom community.

HSA Community Boards Guidelines

Encouraged

  • Sharing event reminders, volunteer needs, and class news
  • Asking for/sharing pictures of paper homework assignments left at school
  • Asking for help (rides, supplies, playdates, etc.)
  • Celebrating class/school milestones and achievements
  • Posting lost-and-found items
  • General questions about class logistics

Not Permitted

  • Politics. No political commentary, campaigning, endorsements, or debate — local, national, or school-board elections included. This is not the place for it, even if it feels relevant.
  • Profanity or inappropriate language. Keep posts family-friendly.
  • Denigrating or criticizing individuals. This includes teachers, staff, administrators, students, or other parents/members. Do not name, complain about, or speak negatively of any specific person.
  • Solicitation or advertising. No promoting personal businesses, fundraisers unrelated to the school, or product/recruiting pitches.
  • Religious promotion or proselytizing.
  • Sharing private information about students, families, or staff (photos, contact info, addresses) without permission.

Moderation

  • Posts that violate these guidelines may be removed without notice by the HSA Board and School Leadership.
  • Repeated violations may result in removal from the community board.
  • If you see something that concerns you, please flag it to the HSA rather than engaging publicly.
