Message from the Principal

Dear PAS Families,


Fall Festival is finally here! Looking forward to an afternoon of fun, joy and scrumptious treats on Thursday!  And shout to all of the volunteers, including our middle schools student, for making the this year's festival possible.

If you pre-purchased tickets, they will be sent home with your youngest PAS child on Tuesday.   Tickets will also be available for purchase at the front and back doors on Thursday during the festival from 4-6pm.  Cash or credit card are acceptable payment forms. Reach out to Ann Kreidle at kreidlea@upenn.edu or 215-284-8601 if you have questions.  


All clubs except Ping Pong start this week.  Clubs will not meet on Thursday for the Fall Festival. Reach out to Mrs. Talbert or Ann Kreidle  if you have any questions.


While Election Day is not until November 4 but there are some fast approaching deadlines. Stop by the blacktop on Friday at 8am to find out more about the upcoming election and get your questions answered.

  • If you haven't had a chance to learn about our efforts to  renovate the green space of Penn Alexander - vital for students and the surrounding community through several potential state grants.   Please join us in advocating for state funding for these projects by signing our joint letter to our state officials.   
  • It's Hispanic/Latine Heritage Month, September 15-October 15. Click here to share with us. 
  • Please take a few minutes to complete this  very short survey with open-ended questions: 👉 Title I Survey.  Deadline to submit feedback is November 3.
  • Penn Employees: please donate to the HSA through Penn's Way through November 21, and Penn will match your donation! If you donate through Penn's Way, a Donor Advised Fund, a Family Foundation, or other corporation match program, please use THIS FORM to let the HSA know and have your donation get counted towards our goal.

Finance Committee Help is Needed!

The HSA Treasurer, Cory Walker, manages the finance committee, and help is needed with several tasks. 

  • Auditors: The HSA books need to be audited once a year by a committee of 3 or more non-board members.
  • Bookkeeper: Input transactions into Membership Toolkit, process checks, and reconcile statements.
  • Cashier: Count and record money and make deposits at the bank.
