Message from the Principal

Advance registration for the  PAS 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run closes TODAY. Register to run HERE in support of STEAM education.  We could still use some help with packet pick up, race day set up and 1 mile fun run. Volunteer HERE.

We now have 75% of families responding to the annual Philly School Experience Survey BUT we would like to include everyone's feedback as we plan for next year   It only takes 5-10 minutes to complete.    Click HERE to complete the survey.

Any class with 80% family survey completion will earn a free recess. Any class that gets 100% family response will earn free recess and water ice party.

Don't Forget!

Don't forget to claim any lost items this week from the lunchroom!  Any unclaim items on June 9 will be cleaned and donated.

Here's the School Supply Information for next year. Good news on prices (no joke)! Shout out to HSA fiscal management for the price reductions! There are June deadlines if you want to order Edukits which are delivered directly to school.

It is time to schedule medication pickup from the nurse's office. The last full day for pick ups is 6/11. All scheduled medications, such as ADHD medications, MUST be picked up by a parent. They will not be sent home with any student, even with permission. If not picked up, they will remain locked in the medical cabinet over the summer. Other medications, such as epi-pens and inhalers, may be picked up in person on 6/11 or 6/12. If not picked up, they will be given to your student and taken home in their backpack on 6/12. There will be no medication pick up on 6/13 as Nurse Natanya will be out of the office.

Medical forms do expire on the last day of the school year, even if indicated otherwise by the medical provider. New medical forms will be required for the new school year in August. Please send any questions or med pickup time requests to ngornstein@philasd.org.

If you are moving or not returning to PAS next year, please complete this form.

Our gifts are intended to thank the PAS team for their dedication to our students, making school meaningful and fun. Sign up to 'ring the bell' HERE. Show appreciation and support for our AMAZING PAS team by donating any amount HERE!Thank you! Deadline: Friday, June 13

Room Parent Coordinator Needed

The Room Parent Coordinator is a critical job for the HSA. The coordinator lines up interested parents at the beginning of the school year to make sure each teacher has at least one room parent assigned to their classroom. During the school year, the coordinator crafts and sends messages to all the room parents highlighting certain events and appeals which the room parents then forward on to their classroom lists. More details can be found HERE.
