Message from the Principal

Dear PAS Families:

Starting TOMORROW, SEPTA will close Spruce Street between 40th and 42nd to replace the trolley tracks. Click HERE to read the SEPTA notification. Significant delays are expected in the area, allow for additional time when traveling and seek alternate routes if available.

Families that drive to school may want to use Locust Street for drop off.

I have bittersweet news to share with our community.  Many of you may already know that our wonderful crossing guard at 43rd and Locust, Ms. Betty, has a new position at City Hall.  Her last day at PAS will be Thursday, March 21. She has invited the student to sign her Crossing Guard Sign!  Let's send her off with lots of appreciation and well wishes.

Congratulations to our Language Day Poster Contest Winners:

New Driver and Biker Drop-Off & Pick Up Plan

In our continued effort to improve the drop off and pick up experience for our drivers and the safety of our students, we are launching a new plan for drivers and bikers.  Spruce and Locust Streets are 20 minute stopping zones and provide an entire block of space for drivers that would like to walk with their child.  Please click HERE to learn more.  We will be handing out fliers and sending them home in the pony.

Musical stage crew is in need of the items listed below.  Please drop off at main entrance. You can also purchase costumes and props from the Amazon wishlist HERE.

  • paper towel & toilet paper rolls
  • old newspapers
  • ribbons
  • wrapping paper (solid colors)
